is at the bottom of the long, long steps, through the arch in the city
wall, on the left. Her succinct directions for a great one day in
Florence were spot-on for the entire day, an art in itself.
At Zep, run by an Italian chef who has a twinkle in his eye, we split
this salad for 4 euros. Yellow bell pepper, cheese, cucumber, tomato,
marinated in perhaps olive oil and vinegar and spices? It was cool,
delicious, fresh, with a nice saltiness to it. I imagine making it at
home and having it for lunch all week!
