The Darden Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club hosted workshop on business plan competitions this morning — 10 a.m. on a Friday when we have no classes. I know, pretty risky. Miraculously, 30+ people showed up.For sugar fuel, I swung by Spudnuts, a tiny shop in the Belmont neighborhood of Charlottesville. Spudnuts are made with potato flour, though you can't taste the potato — just a soft pillow of sweet dough.
The delectable treats come in a small variety: glazed, blueberry, coconut, chocolate, etc. Three dozen max per customer. Cash only. We paid $18.09 for 36 doughnuts, which seemed like a sweet deal.
If you go, go early. When they run out of spudnuts, they close for the day. The end.
